The combination of proprietary ceramics, resins and a urethane bond to counteract the 4 methods of heat transfer: radiation; conduction; convection; and infrared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NOTE: It is important for the desired outcome of Super Therm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> that the application instructions below are followed correctly.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Super Therm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> should not be diluted or thinned and stirred thoroughly for a minimum of 5 minutes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Surface Preparations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The surface must be clean from dust, oil, tar, rust, grease, salts, films or any contaminants.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Surface must be completely dry before applying.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum surface temperature 5\u00b0C<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maximum surface temperature 65\u00b0C<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recommend drop sheets and caution as <strong>Super Therm<\/strong><strong><sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> \u0003is difficult to clean up if spilt due to its bonding strength.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fibreglass Roofs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/neotechcoatings.com\/coating-products\/super-therm-solar-heat-block-coating\/\" title=\"\"><strong>Super Therm<\/strong><\/a>\u00ae does apply to hard, fibreglass roofs. If the roof is in good condition we suggest abrading the surface with a Medium 80 grit if the surface is too smooth. This should give the coating some extra &#8216;mechanical bite&#8217; into the surface for bonding. The performance of <a href=\"https:\/\/neotechcoatings.com\/coating-products\/super-therm-solar-heat-block-coating\/\" title=\"\"><strong>Super Therm<\/strong><\/a>\u00ae will be exactly the same as a metal roof. The preferred method of \u0003application is by air or <a href=\"https:\/\/shippingcontainerinsulation.com.au\/applying-super-therm-with-an-airless-sprayer\/\">airless sprayer<\/a>. The total Dry Film Thickness (DFT) is a quarter of a mm (business card thickness &#8211; 216 gsm) at 250um microns. It will dry out and correct itself back to normal.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"condensation-dew-high-relative-humidity-or-rain\">Condensation, Dew, High Relative Humidity or Rain<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Moisture will cause problems if Super Therm\u00ae hasn&#8217;t had enough time to begin curing.<\/strong> This can also be caused by applying <strong>Super Therm\u00ae<\/strong> too thick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In high dew (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dpcalc.org\/\">dew calculator<\/a>) or moist environments allow for a minimum of 4 hours in the sun for <strong>Super Therm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> to begin curing so it doesn&#8217;t run. Clients have experienced heavy dew near coastal locations which <strong>Super Therm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> hasn&#8217;t reached a level of curing and the coating has run and washed off. If the coating does run you will need to clean off instantly as not to cause damage. The surface will need to be cleaned off fully, dried and reapplied. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When <strong>Super Therm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> hasn&#8217;t started to set and dew or rain causes pooling of water it will take longer for the coating to dry and may run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">If Super Therm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> is wet or rained on during the curing process it may bubble. Do not puncture these bubbles as the coating will settle down and retract to its natural state while the curing process takes longer.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"super-therm-texture\">Super Therm\u00ae Texture<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The finished is a ceramic, silky matt textured coating that contains 57% solids by volume.<\/strong>&nbsp;If visual appearance is important and in public view, <strong>Super Therm coating does mark easily<\/strong>. We recommend an application of an epoxy or SPI&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/spicoatings.com\/coating-products\/enamo-grip\/\">Enamo Grip<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;to create a shiny finish and added protection and durability to your project. <a title=\"Super Therm\u00ae Texture\" href=\"https:\/\/spicoatings.com\/coating-products\/super-therm-solar-heat-block-coating\/super-therm-texture\/\">See more<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"clean-up\">Clean Up<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After completion tools should be cleaned with water; cleaned brushes and rollers can be reused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"storage\">Storage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Store between 5\u00b0C and 37\u00b0C and thoroughly close the container to air tight as <strong>Super Therm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> will dry out. However please note the warmer the storage environment the quicker the resins may start to dry out in the coating. A cool dry place is the best for long term storage. <strong>Super Therm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> can be stored for 3 years at an appropriate cool temperature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"additional-strength-and-protection\">Additional Strength and Protection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Super Therm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> works best with <a class=\"aioseop-link\" href=\"https:\/\/spicoatings.com\/coating-products\/enamo-grip\/\"><strong>Enamo Grip<\/strong><\/a> to seal, protect and finish and with <a class=\"aioseop-link\" href=\"https:\/\/spicoatings.com\/coating-products\/super-base\/\"><strong>Super Base<\/strong><\/a> to seal and prime the surface. When applying an epoxy over the top such as <a class=\"aioseop-link\" href=\"https:\/\/spicoatings.com\/coating-products\/enamo-grip\/\"><strong>Enamo Grip<\/strong><\/a>, allow at least 2 days at minimum of 21\u00b0C for <strong>Super Therm<\/strong>\u00ae to begin curing so moisture is removed. If there is dew, high humidity or other moisture factors allow longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Super Therm<\/strong><strong><sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> two reflective ceramics reflect sunlight and radiant heat while the third ceramic compound works to stop heat and\/or cold conduction through the coating film the fourth ceramic blocks almost all infrared. The combination of acrylics provide elasticity and toughness while the urethane binds the acrylics and compounds, also providing a moisture barrier. The fourth resin additive is what makes the complete resin blend to combine into a single component and extends the life of the coating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>VOC-Compliant:<\/strong><\/td><td>Only 67 grams\/litre.
